Welcome to Empower Coffee Company. We’re glad you’re here. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, empowercoffeecompany.com (the “Site”), and your purchase of any products from us. By visiting the Site or buying from us, you agree to these Terms. We’ve tried to keep the legalese to a minimum — but if anything is unclear, just reach out. We’re real people and happy to explain.
1. Who We Are
Empower Coffee Company (“Empower Coffee,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a specialty coffee roaster based in Georgia, USA. We roast coffee to order and ship it directly to customers through our online store.
2. Using Our Site
By using the Site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are using the Site under the supervision of a parent or guardian. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that doesn’t infringe on anyone else’s rights or restrict their use of the Site.
You agree not to:
• Use the Site for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other accounts, or our systems
• Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
• Scrape, copy, or republish Site content without our written permission
We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion, including if we believe these Terms have been violated.
3. Products & Pricing
We do our best to display our products — including roast levels, tasting notes, and packaging — as accurately as possible. That said, coffee is an agricultural product, and tasting notes describe typical flavor characteristics rather than guarantees. Slight variations between batches and harvests are normal (and honestly, part of the fun).
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, modify or discontinue products, and limit quantities. If we discover a pricing error after you’ve placed an order, we’ll contact you before proceeding.
4. Orders & Payment
When you place an order, you’ll receive an email confirming we received it. This confirmation doesn’t mean your order has been accepted — we reserve the right to cancel any order for reasons including product availability, errors in pricing or product information, or suspected fraud. If we cancel your order, you’ll receive a full refund.
Payment is processed at checkout through Shopify’s secure payment system. By providing payment information, you confirm that you’re authorized to use the payment method provided. We never see or store your full card details.
5. Shipping & Delivery
Because we roast to order, please allow time for roasting before your order ships — typical processing times are shown at checkout and on our FAQ page. Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number by email.
Delivery estimates are just that — estimates. We aren’t responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or other events outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you when the package is handed to the carrier. If your package shows as delivered but you can’t find it, please check with neighbors and your local carrier first, then contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We aren’t responsible for orders shipped to an incorrectly entered address, though we’ll always try to help if something goes wrong.
6. Returns & Refunds
Coffee is a perishable food product, so we can’t accept returns of opened bags. But we stand behind every batch we roast. If something isn’t right — your order arrived damaged, you received the wrong item, or the coffee just isn’t what you expected — contact us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll make it right with a replacement, store credit, or refund, depending on the situation.
To start a refund or replacement, email us with your order number and a quick description of the issue (photos help for damaged shipments). Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
7. Subscriptions
If you sign up for a coffee subscription, your payment method will be charged automatically at the interval you select until you cancel. You can pause, skip, or cancel your subscription anytime through your account — no hoops, no guilt trips. Cancellations take effect for the next billing cycle; orders already processed will still ship.
8. Discount Codes & Promotions
Discount codes can’t be combined unless we say otherwise, have no cash value, and may expire or be modified at any time. We reserve the right to cancel orders that abuse promotional offers.
9. Intellectual Property
Everything on this Site — our name, logo, product names, photos, written content, and design — belongs to Empower Coffee Company or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You’re welcome to share our content on social media with credit, but you may not use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
10. User Content & Reviews
If you leave a review, comment, or other content on our Site or tag us on social media, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and share that content in connection with our business (like featuring your review on a product page). You’re responsible for the content you post — keep it honest and keep it yours.
11. Third-Party Links
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or tools that we don’t control. We’re not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those third parties, and linking to them doesn’t mean we endorse them.
12. Disclaimers
The Site and our products are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Empower Coffee Company and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products. In any case, our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product(s) giving rise to the claim.
